Besides the new Swift Sport, Suzuki is also introducing a new version of the Kizashi sedan in the UK with selectable 2/4WD system.
This dynamic mid-size sedan comes with Sport aerodynamic package as standard equipment, including muscular front fascia (with chrome accents) and lower grille; body side sill extensions; lower body side mouldings with chrome accents; custom lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels and a unique sport steering wheel with contrasting stitching for its leather seats, gear shift surround and parking brake boot.
The Kizashi looks nice and shiny, but not vulgar and try hard. I suppose that makes it cool.
The car is also very feature rich, with standard equipments including seven airbags; four electric windows, MP3/WMA compatible CD tuner with eight speakers, Dual Zone automatic air conditioning, 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and start and folding heated door mirrors. Th only option is a touchscreen satnav that can be fitted at Suzuki dealers.
Engine-wise, this model is powered by a 2.4-litre DOHC in-line four cylinder engine out of the Grand Vitara, developing 178PS at 6,000 rpm with 230 Nm of torque. The performance is decent, nothing remarkable, and so is the fuel economy. It does 34.0mpg on the combined cycle.
Priced at £21,99, Suzuki Kizashi four-wheel-drive sounds like pretty good value. That said, you can also find decent European sedans in that price range.
