As promised Toyota brought a number of customized cars to the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, including a couple of tuned GT86 models.

The most important model of course, is the one by Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Highlights of TRD 86 include a reworked suspension with new front and rear anti-roll bars, a carbon front strut, rear diffuser, additional cross-bracing and a high-response exhaust system.

The car looks sensational in its special body kit, finished in Satin White Pearl, and sporting 18-inch alloy wheels and sports seats and meters in the cabin.

Other custom Toyota GT86 models on display include one by Modelista, Toyota’s in-house tuner, featuring a massive body kit and bigger wheels, and Gazoo Racing FT-86 which competed at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2011. The team has announced it will return to the event this year with a specially prepared GT 86.
