One of only six Jaguar XJ220s super cars ever built will be up for grabs at an RM Auction event in Arizona next month.

As one of the best ’80s supercar, the normal XJ220 is a very rare and collectible item in its own right. This XJ220s then is a super special car, not just because of its rarity, but the ingredients as well.

Built by Tim Walkinshaw Racing (TWR), the car is largely made of carbon fiber panels which have replaced the original aluminum parts. It has a race car look thanks to its front air splitter, wider sills, extra air intakes, and a massive rear wing.

The car was then repainted in Lamborghini Reventon gray, and fitted with new leather interior and new wheels.

This amazing super car features a twin-turbo V8 developing 680 hp. It has many bespoke parts, including a TWR titanium exhaust system which alone costs a whopping $20,000.

It’s got the power, but it’s not likely to ever get a chance to unleash it. Whoever buys this jewel is going to treat it better than his children. It will probably find a nice, warm and dry spot in an air conditioned garage as part of a collector’s collection.

RM expects it to fetch something between $225,000-$300,000 in the auction.
