The first pictures of Infiniti’s most advanced, and most striking, car ever hit the web ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The two-seater sports car is named Emerg-E, and there’s a clue. The car is an electric sports car, powered by a mid-mounted electric motor and an internal combustion engine which acts as the range-extender.

Official specs, as well as performance figures, are unknown at the moment, but these picture do reveal the looks in full. And boy is it good! Infiniti Emerg-E has the looks of a proper super car. It’s even got a see-through engine cover. It’s the real deal.

If Inifniti decided to make this – and they probably will – the Emerg-E will be a formidable rival for the upcoming Honda NSX. Infiniti may also give the car a hybrid powerrain, as electric ones are not there yet. They should also give it a better name.
