Must Watch: Pagani Huayra Documentary

Pagani Huayra 2012 at Must Watch: Pagani Huayra Documentary

Pagani has come up with a short film, a documentary, to show us the process of design, development and build for the Huayra. It’s amazing how a small car maker like Pagani is capable of such high-end engineering. The design and manufacturing of those carbon fiber parts, the aerodynamics, the engine, the cabin, everything in this car is as exquisite as it gets.

What makes this production so fascinating though, is its soul. There’s a lot of art in the making of this car, and that’s what gives it soul. Pagani’s way of doing things might not be the most efficient way, or the cleverest, but it’s the most passionate. Pagani engineers are like jewelers, watchmakers, craftsmen. That’s why every Huayra is unique and special.

If you are going to watch only one car video this week, let it be this one.

Ancient legends of the Aymara tell us of Huayra Tata, god of wind, who commands the breezes, winds, and blizzards that invade the mountains, cliffs and hills of the Andean highlands. It is told that Huayra Tata resides deep in the high peaks and valleys, abandoning them only to demonstrate his power to his wife, Pachamama, goddess of mother earth. With his power Huayra Tata was able to lift the waters from lake Titicaca and rain them down on the fertile Pachamama. When Huayra Tata sleeps, the waters and rivers lay quiet. But the calm before the storm is about to be interrupted…
