Now it becomes clear why Acura can’t come up with a fresh new design for their cars and keep tweaking the old ones. They’ve spent all their money on movie stars. And as for the NSX, well that was designed and developed by Honda in Japan. Still, The Avengers premiere gave Acura great publicity, with stars like Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson, among others, posing with the NSX Roadster, MDX, RDX, and TL.

What we’d like to see here – besides Scarlett of course – is the NSX Roadster Downey Jr. drove on the red carpet. Sure, it was based on an old NSX, but the design is essentially what we will be getting in a few years as the drop-top version of the Acura/Honda NSX. It’s a cracking looking thing, and with the hybrid drivetrain Honda has prepared for it, its technology is as futuristic as its looks.
