Lamborghini Trademarks Another Cool Name: Huracán

Lamborghini afg3 at Lamborghini Trademarks Another Cool Name: Huracán

Not sure what Lamborghini is up to, but they’re been securing the rights for some seriously cool names this past couple of weeks. First we had news they trademarked “Deimos” which everybody thought was for the new SUV. Then the SUV was revealed and it was called Urus. Now news emerge that Lamborghini has filed trademark application for Huracán.

Spanish for hurricane, Huracán sounds like an awesome name for a new Lamborghini. But traditionally every new Lamborghini has to be named after a bull. Mind you, that’s the rule for production models. So Huracán could be a name for a concept car.

Another possibility is that Lamborghini is breaking tradition and wants this name for a new model they have in the works, the production version of the Urus for example.  We hope they use the name for the Gallardo replacement. It is supposed to be called Cabrera, according to the rumors, but like Huracán better.

Lamborghini Huracán. It just sounds great, doesn’t it!
