The latest version of Lexus’ hybrid SUV, RX 450h, goes on sale in UK starting at £44,495. The new model not only looks more aggressive than the one it replaces – thanks to the spindle grille – it is also available with the F-Sport package, which means you can enjoy hybrid motoring and look cool at the same time. That is a hard trick to pull.
The F Sport treatment for the RX gives it a substantially different look over the standard model with more vertical front bumper and a dedicated mesh treatment for the upper and lower grilles. It also adds dark-finish 19-inch alloy wheels and F Sport badging on the exterior. The interior details include aluminum pedals, F Sport smooth leather upholstery and scuff plates.
What’s more, the car even offers a sport driving mode which upon activation modifies the throttle and electric power steering settings to gain faster responses. It works in tandem with the sport-tuned suspension.
The highlights of Lexu sRX 450h equipments list include a new perforated leather upholstery and re-designed steering wheel, while the Luxury grade model adopts (in addition to the above) dark-finish 19-inch alloy wheels and benefits from an upgrade to its 12-speaker audio system with a DAB digital tuner and single-disc DVD player.
