Porsche Boxster “True Spirit” Film Honors Its Pedigree

Porsche Boxster S 2013 at Porsche Boxster True Spirit Film Honors Its Pedigree

In the latest promotional film for the new Boxster 981, Porsche takes us back to 1948 and the 356 sports roadster. The spirit of the 356 is still alive in the 981. The Boxster is the latest expression of the same philosophy that won’t sacrifice dynamics and functionality for the sake of style and comfort. Mercifully, the new Boxster doesn’t have to compromise. It manages to be dynamic and, for the first time, pretty.

The film includes some rare footage of old models from Porsche archive. It’ll be a great watch for the Porsche fans, and the fans of classic cars in general.

Never before in the history of the Porsche Boxster was a change of generation so comprehensive and so clearly apparent at first glance: The change in proportions is a lasting one. For example, the wheelbase has increased by 60 millimetres and the front track width by up to 40 millimetres and at the rear by up to 18 millimetres, as a result of which the wheels align flush with the body.
