Your first chance of seeing Infinit’s new electric sports car up close and in person will be at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the EMERG-E will be on display alongside the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition. What’s more, it’s a running prototype. So you’ll get to see it in action, see if it’s actually any good on the move. And joy of joys, Infiniti is bringing Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber to drive the cars up the hill.
Aside the magnificent electric sports car, you also see the Vettel FX, of which only 50 units will be made. This car is an homage to the young world champion and is not only more powerful than normal models – at 420 PS – it’s also lighter and more aerodynamic. The only downer is the 100,000 GBP price tag, which sounds like a lot for an Infiniti SUV.
Also tackling the hill at the 2012 Goodwood FoS will be the M35h hybrid. The world’s fastest-accelerating petrol/electric hybrid saloon, delivering 41mpg and producing only 159g/km CO2. This car is one of the finest hybrids out there, mainly because it doesn’t sacrifice performance fro the sake of economy.
