McLaren released this teaser picture to announce they will be coming to the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and they’re coming in heavy. They say this year’s Paris show, in which the British brand makes its international show debut, is the beginning of the “next exciting chapter for McLaren Automotive.” So expect to see the replacement for the legendary F1 at the event.

Before this we were led to believe the new McLaren super car is going to be unveiled in Monte Carlo, but a car as significant as this definitely deserves a big, international show debut. McLaren showed with the 12C and the 12C Spider that they’ve got the technological expertise to make mind-bogglingly fast cars. What we are keen to know is if they are going after the Bugatti Veyron with the new supercar.

After all, it is the replacement for a car that for many years held the title of the fastest production car int the world. We shall find out about that soon enough. McLaren will be holding a press conference at 17.45 CEST (16.45 BST), on Thursday 27 September, which should reveal more.
