Ford released previews of five custom Ford Focus ST models they and their partners are working on for the 2012 SEMA show. The partners include Tanner Foust Racing, Bojix Design, M&J Enterprise, Galpin Auto Sports and Steeda Autosports. What Foust has come up with seems to the best of the lot.

The mods on Foust’s Focus include an air intake and MagnaFlow exhaust, adjustable front and rear suspension, a full body kit, and a three-ton paint job. It is not an extreme tuning job, apart from the paint job, because they wanted it to remain roadworthy.

As for the other cars, Boix Focus features a bright orange paint, custom wheels, big brakes, coilover suspension, and a of course a body kit. The same treatment is more or less what other tuners offer. Only M&J’s Cosworth-tuned Focus offers enhanced performance. It gets Ford Racing’s own engine map to churn out 330 horsepower, and also features a Tangerine paint job.

GAS, or Galpin Auto Sport, has gone for a wide body effect and a multi-color paint job with green wheels, which frankly looks ridiculous. Steeda’s ST meanwhile comes with G-Trac suspension,  Brembo brake and custom 19-inch wheels.
