ICON 4×4 is an American company specializing in restoring and renovating legendary 4×4 cars in a unique way. You are probably familiar with their customized Ford Bronco. Now ICON’s boss Jonathan More brings a new model to Jay Leno’s Garage; the Toyota FJ-44. It might look old on the outside, but underneath it is a brand-new car.
Old cars look very cool, but to live with, they are like cancer. What ICON does is give you the looks and feel of the old car, without any of the troubles.
The FJ-44 can be had with a 350-hp V8 engine, a five-speed manual ‘box, Dynatrac/Dana 60/44 based axles, vented and slotted power disc brakes, 12-inch travel Coil suspension and… It is as capable, if not more, as a Hummer H1.
