Suzuki has updated its Jimny compact SUV for 2013 and it’s now on sale in the UK starting from £11,995. They say they have upgraded the exterior and interior of the car, but to be honest it still looks… well, terrible. But all hard-working cheap cars have a certain charm, and the Jimny is no exception.
The 2013 Jimny comes with a redesigned bonnet with a central air intake, new front fog lamps and revised bumpers. What’s more, Breeze Blue has been added to the range of metallic colors available for the car. The interior gets new seat fabric for the SZ3 trim level, while higher specs benefit from new design headrests.
The engine powering the Jimny is a 16-valve 1.3-litre unit, developing 85 PS and 81lbft of torque. It is very weak, but on the upside it returns almost 40 mpg.
As mentioned prices start from £11,995 for the SZ3 model, while an SZ4 model is priced at £12,900 with manual transmission or £13,800 with automatic transmission. Standard eqipmnt of the SZ4 include synthetic leather/cloth front seats with ‘Jimny’ logo emblems, air conditioning, alloy wheels, leather trim steering wheel and rear privacy glass.
