Consumer Reports Not Pleased With Cadillac CUE

2013 Cadillac XTS 083 medium at Consumer Reports Not Pleased With Cadillac CUE

Consumer Reports recently got to review Cadillac’s highly publicized infotainment system, known as the CUE. They found it counterintuitive, distracting, complex, fussy, and, in short, rubbish. Now, CR can sometimes be a bit cruel about a product’s faults, but this time they are totally right. Everyone who has used CUE agrees that it is pretty flawed.

CUE seems to be a bad copy of Ford MyTouch system. It gets rid of all the traditional knobs and buttons on the dashboard, God knows why, and replaces them with a big touchscreen and fancy touch sensitive buttons. Sounds cool, but in reality they don’t work well at all. Five minutes into it, you are going to miss those traditional buttons!

Problem is, Cadillac has standardize this dashboard for the ATS and XTS, and all the other future models. They can fix the CUE with a software update or something, but what are they going to do with those terrible touch sensitive buttons?
