Hyundai i30 European Sales Pass Half A Million Units

European sales i30 at Hyundai i30 European Sales Pass Half A Million Units

Hyundai i30 was an instant hit when it was first launched back in 2007. It was the car the changed the world’s perception of Hyundai brand. It then became the company’s best selling model in Europe, and now as the second generation of the car is on sale, it passes the half a million mark.

It’s not just Europe. The car is a success all around the world, with global commutative sales surpassing 1 million units recently. Hyundai i30 is present in 60 markets, in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australasia, the Caribbean and the USA (under the Elantra GT nameplate).

In Europe, UK is one of the biggest markets for the i30. The British market accounts for 59,000 units. The car’s success can be contributed to its great build quality, great value for money, tons of features, economical engines, and practicality. Style wasn’t really its biggest strength until the current model came along. Now it even looks good. It’s a no-brainer for those looking for a normal family hatchback.

Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, commented: “Since launch in 2007, the i30 has become the centre of gravity for our brand in Europe. It was our first car to de designed and made here, offering customers high quality, low emissions and great value – characteristics now synonymous with the Hyundai brand.”
