Ford released official prices of the new Fiesta ST hot hatch. The two-series Fiesta ST and ST2 start from £16,995 and £17,995 respectively, which are, on the average, two grands cheaper than main rivals. The ST comes in three-door bodystyle, two trim levels, and one engine.

That engine is a 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost, all-aluminium, four cylinder petrol engine developing 182PS and peak torque of 290Nm. Most important numbers include 0 to 60 time of 6.9 seconds, and average fuel consumption of 47.9 mpg.

Standard kit on the ST includes 17in alloy wheels, halogen projector headlamps, ST front fog lights, DAB radio, SYNC connectivity, Thatcham CAT 1 alarm, Recaro seats My Key and air conditioning. The ST2 trim adds partial leather heated Recaro seats, Sony DAB radio, Ford keyless start, privacy glass and LED daytime running lamps.

Available options include 17in alloys painted Rado Grey, red brake callipers, illuminated scuff plates, Sony navigation, EATC, and adjustable boot load floor.
