The new version of Ford Fiesta Van, powered by a Dagenham-built 75PS 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, launches in the UK in 2013 offering bold looks and xcelent fuel economy for this class of vehicles. All diesel versions of this car do sub-100g/km CO2 emissions and 76.4mpg or better.
The engine lineup includes the 75PS 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi and 95PS 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi, plus the 82PS 1.25-litre Duratec petrol units. The most frugal version of the Fiesta Van, of course, is the ECOnetic variant which delivers best-in-class 87g/km and 85.6mpg, unmatched by any other car in the urban van segment.
Some of the fuel saving measures in the ECOnetic models include standard Auto-Start-Stop, lowered suspension, aerodynamic rear under-tray and wheel trims, and low rolling resistance tyres.
Other technology features the Fiesta Van is blessed with include in-car connectivity system SYNC with Emergency Assistance, Active City Stop, and MyKey system to encourage safer driving, plus practical features like Easy Fuel and Rear View Camera.
As for the practical stuff, this little van offers a load length of 1.3 metres and gross payload ranging from 485-508kg.
Pricing and specs will be announced later.
