At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Dodge will unveil a new Redline edition of the 20132 Challenger R/T. This car is a muscle car lover’s wet dream. It comes with HEMI V8 power, 20-inch black rims, and red graphics. And it’s a Challenger. What more do you want!
The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine in this car delivers up to 375 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque with the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission (372 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque with the 5-speed auto), and does the 0-60 run in the low-5-second range.
With the Challenger, though, it’s not just about the speed. It is about the sensation and thrill of speed. You floor the loud pedal, listen to HEMI growl, and smoke the rear wheels. And don’t worry that much about corner either. This is no sports car, but it comes with sport suspension and 20-inch wheels, wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 P245/45R20 three-season performance tires.
Visually, The Redline models are distinguished by two-color stripe and four available exterior colors, including Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Bright White and Pitch Black. The package costs $1,995 and can be ordered for Challenger R/T and R/T Plus models.
