Finally, the production version of the all-new 2015 Acura TLX makes its debut at the New York Auto Show, presenting what Acura says is their most dynamic package ever. The sport luxury sedan promises new levels of performance and premium features never seen before in an Acura.

The 2015 Acura TLX has been developed, according to the manufacturer under the theme of Red Carpet Athlete, which is funny because there isn’t any particularly athletic or red carpet worthy about the TLX. It is a very fine four-door sedan, but that marketing slogan only makes it look stupid.

The TLX can be had with two meaty engines, including a 2.4-liter 16-valve, 4-cylinder unit mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.5-liter 24-valve V-6, coupled with a 9-speeder. The former makes 206 horsepower and the latter 290. Both can be specified with Acura super-handling technologies – Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS), Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), and Agile Handling Assist (AHA).

Being a product of year 2015, Acura TLX is packed with advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies including Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow and Blind Spot Indicator (BSI).

2015 Acura TLX also offers a great deal of practicality with features like 60/40-split folding rear seatback and a large trunk, plus all the convenience equipment you’d expect from a luxury sedan. All this makes the car a formidable rival for the established marques in this segment like BMW and Mercedes.
