Porsche 918 Spyder offers five different driving modes including E-Power, Hybrid, Sport Hybrid, Race Hybrid, and Hot Lap. To explore all of those modes you need to be on a race track, a big one of that no less. So to make this demo video they went to the widest circuit on F1 calendar, The Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas.

The driver, Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long, test the 918 thoroughly as he exits pit lane under all-electric mode, accelerates under sport hybrid mode, and uses the hot-lap button on the back straight at 170 mph. This is a POV video, which means you get a first-hand look at what life is like behind the wheel of a 918:
