To be brutally honest, Porsche 918 Spyder was kind of overshadowed at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed by cars like Jay Kay’s unique LaFerrari and Koenigsegg One:1. Still, it did go up the famous Goodwood Hill and it’s something you do not want to miss.

In fact, why don’t you go along for the ride with this onboard footage of Porsche 918 rocketing up the hill:

Now that all three of the new generation hyper cars – 918, P1, LaFerrari – are out and thoroughly tested, it is clear that Porsche has taken a different approach to this whole idea than their main rival. While Ferrari and McLaren have utilized hybrid technology to make their cars fast, Porsche has devised a system that not only results in huge speed, it also makes the car incredibly fuel efficient. That is why we think Porsche’s effort will be remembered and praised as a revolutionary machine and an engineering marvel, while the other two will only be celebrated for their awesome looks and jaw-dropping speed.
