Rod Stewart’s Ferrari F40 Up for Grabs

Rod Stewart Ferrari F40 600x310 at Rod Stewart’s Ferrari F40 Up for Grabs

As one of the rarest and most sought after classic models, the Ferrari F40 always commands a high price whenever it becomes available for sale. But this particular model, to be auctioned by Auctions America in Burbank, has other things going for it other than rarity and desirability.

This car is Rod Stewart’s Ferrari F40 and it is in mint condition, having covered only 7,900 miles, all of them in the sunny California. It is a rare mix, being rust-free and having a rock ‘n’ roll history, but that’s why this F40 is expected to fetch $1.3 million.

Rod Stewart’s Ferrari F40 will be offered with the original luggage set, manual, car cover, and tire inflation kit. They may not seem important, but these bits and bobs have a big effect on the value of classic cars, as they are a sign of authenticity, and the fact that the car has been looked after.

Ferrari F40 is considered by many as the greatest supercar the Italian firm has ever made. Powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine developing 480 PS, the F40 was the first car to be built almost entirely from carbon fiber, and the first to break the 200 mph barrier.
