The new Porsche 991 Tagra 4S is a confusing product. It is heavier and more expensive than a normal Carrera, and it’s not considerably quicker, either. What’s more, it has a needlessly complicated Targa roof. The only thing this car has going for it is its retro styling.
If you are buying the Porsche 991 Targa just for its looks, you may find this treatment rather interesting. The guys at Print Tech have wrapped this Targa in a retro-inspired Racing green vinyl. It’s like the classic Porsche green, but with a modern twist.
Porsche 991 Targa is only available in four-wheel-drive guise for some reason, but you can choose between 4 and 4S models. They both have the same 3.4-litre flat-six engine, but the former has 350 horsepower while the latter gets a full 400.
The removable roof on the 991 Targa can be opened or closed in about 19 seconds which is more than what a folding soft-top takes in a 991 Cabriolet. And it’s not even a full open-top experience. This Targa roof is more like a large sunroof.
