No, Chrysler hasn’t gone crazy. This is an independent work of designer Joey Ruiter who apparently wanted to combine his love of American muscle cars with his love of off-roading. The result is this Mad Max-style machine based on Dodge Challenger.

Joey calls his creation Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed, which sounds perfect for this car, especially that last part. It is based on the new Challenger Hellcat and features jacked-up suspension, modified body parts including flared wheel arches and massive off-road tires.

Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed might be just a dream is someone’s head right now, but he’s thought it through and says for the sake weight balance the Untamed would be better off with a V6 instead of Hellcat’s V8. He’s thought about this stuff because he apparently wants to make it.

The Challenger A/T Untamed concept will be built to order and probably won’t be road-legal, even though the designer believes it is “sleek enough for the city nightlife and rough enough for the off-road landscape”.
