Porsche Macan customers in Europe have the option to choose a 3.0 TDI diesel engine for their compact SUV. It is a brilliant piece of kit, this engine, with 258 PS and 580 Nm of torque as standard. But with a little bit of tweaking you can get a lot more out of it.

In fact Mcchip-DKR has just done that, extracting 40 more horsepower and 60 torque out of this common rail bad boy! When they are done with it, Porsche Macan Diesel is blessed with 302 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque, which is more than decent for a car in this class.

The V6 turbodiesel unit in the Porsche Macan Diesel is designed to work with the PDK transmission and is consistent with the vehicle’s sportscar characteristic. It is equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for lower emissions. This system injects a urea solution (AdBlue) into the exhaust gas, and the resulting chemical reaction transforms nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water.

In standard from, the Macan S Diesel accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. You can expect Mcchip’s version to be noticeably quicker.
