Alpine is by the looks of thing nowhere near ready to launch their long-awaited sports car, a resurrection of the old A110, but soon you will be able to drive at least some form of Alpine sports car as they announced the VisionGT concept for Gran Turismo 6 video game.

Alpine may be a little late to the game, as most car makers released their Vision GT concepts months ago, but they are bringing something really cool to the party. Alpine VisionGT is a futuristic-looking concept with a teardrop-shaped cockpit, wraparound windows, enclosed front wheels, and the most sophisticated spoiler ever in the history of spoilers. All that means excellent aerodynamics.

Now, we do realize Alpine VisionGT is a virtual concept and as good to drive as the computer geeks who right its codes want it to be. But the fact that Alpine designers can think so far out of the box is a pretty cool thing. It also makes us can’t wait to see what they have in store for the real-life sports car they are working on. Ever since they broke up with Caterham people have been doubting the success of this project. But Renault’s brass has promised the new Alpine will soon be here.
