It took them a long time, but Fiat finally unveiled the production version of the 500X crossover at the Paris Motor Show today. Joining the large 500 family and expansing it even further, Fiat 500X is, in essence, a jacked-up version of the cit car with a roughly toughly look.

Being a trendy little hatchback at heart, Fiat 500X will come with choice of 12 different body colours and eight different designs for the 16-, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels.

It also gets no less than four transmissions, including five- and six-speed manual gearboxes, as well as six-speed twin-clutch and nine-speed automatic. Engine-wise, you can choose between four petrol engines and three diesels.

They include the 140 HP 2.0 MultiJet II, the 110 HP 1.6 E-torQ, the 170 HP 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II and 184 HP Tigershark 2.4-liter in the petrol lineup, and 95 HP 1.3 MultiJet II, 140 HP 2.0 MultiJet II, and 120 HP 1.6-litre MultiJet II in the diesel range.

Among the most notable technology features of Fiat 500X we can mention the Uconnect infotainment system; front headlights with DRLs; front fog lights with adaptive cornering; sophisticated ESC (Electronic Stability Control); Lane Assist (lane departure warning system) and Blind Spot Assist (lane change assistance system).
