In about a month from now Subaru will introduce a hotted-up STi version of the 2015 Forester SUV. Previewed here in these teaser pictures, the sporty Forester gets a hole host of STi goodies inside and out, and hopefully under the bonnet as well.

On the styling front the 2015 Subaru Forester STi is distinguished over normal models by the virtue of its STi blue paint job, red-accented sports grille, vertical LED lights, bigger air intakes, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a roof spoiler. It also comes with larger wheels behind which you’ll find STi-branded brake calipers.

In terms of mechanical features, chances are the Subaru Forester STi will be powered by the same 305 horsepower turbocharged flat-four you find in the WRX STi. They can also share the four-wheel-drive system and the same basic suspension setup, although in the Forester it’ll be beefed up with appropriate shocks and springs for a SUV.

Subaru has not yet confirmed is the Forester STi is going to be a global model, or if it’s JDM only. But they are promising a full introduction of the car on November 25, so we’ll find out then.
