This weekend and during the 6th round of FIA WEC endurance championship at the Shanghai International Circuit, Porsche’s racing duo, the 911 RSR and the 919 Hybrid,showed outstanding performance with the RSRs scoring a 1-2 podium finish in the GTE class, and the 919s finishing third and sixth in LMP1 category.

That is great result for the daunting 6 hours of Shanghai Grand Prix, especially for the brilliant Porsche 911 RSR. But we are more interested in than the race results is how unbelievably cool these cars look in action. Porsche released a few pictures showing the racing machines in the midst of the battle, and they are totally unmissable.

But before you go check them out, let us remind you that the Porsche 911 RSR has a 470 hp four-litre flat six engine on the par with the production models. It is a lot lighter though, thanks to an all-carbon construction, which is why it is so incredibly fast.

As for the Porsche 919 Hybrid, this advanced LMP1 car features a four-cylinder petrol engine mated an electric motor. There is another generator on the front axle, fed by highly-advanced water-cooled lithium-ion battery packs, making the car all-wheel-drive.
