Hyundai chose the Chicago Auto Show to introduce a couple of face-lifted models designed to refresh the looks of their existing lineup. One of these new models is the 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT and it comes with a new face and some interesting tech features.

On the styling front, the 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT benefits from redesigned grille with horizontal chrome and argent slats and new 17-inch wheels, and that’s about it. It does look refreshingly new though, especially in this unique shade of blue.

The Elantra GT in the American market is offered with a 2.0-liter Gasoline Direct Injection engine, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC, with 173 horsepower, 154 lb.-ft. of torque, and 33 mpg highway. The 1.8 liter engine is now only offered in the Sedan version.

As for the new features and equipment available on the 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT, there is the next-generation navigation with HD Radio and Apple Siri integration, ventilated front seats, and next-generation Blue Link system with new connectivity features such as Remote Start with Climate Control and Destination Search Powered by Google.

These are all optional extras. The list of standard features include: cooled glove box; heated front seats; driver’s blind spot mirror; LED taillights;10-way power driver’s seat including power lumbar support; Dual Automatic Temperature Control with Clean Air Ionizer; leather seating surfaces; automatic headlights; side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators; steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls; Bluetooth hands-free system with voice recognition.
