It is true that there is an all-new Aston Martin DB9 is in the works right now, but that car is scheduled for launch in 2017 and until then the Brits will have to come up with solutions to keep the current version of the grand tourer nice and fresh. The new Aston Martin DB9 GT is one such solution.

Pitched as the “most compelling production ‘DB’ to date,” the Aston Martin DB9 GT is the ultimate expression of what the DB9 can be, boasting a 547 horsepower version of the 6.0 liter V12 engine we all know so well with 620 Nm of torque. That oomph enables the GT to sprint form 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 183 mph.

Styling-wise, the DB9 GT is not substantially different from its normal siblings but it comes with black painted splitter and diffuser, revised headlight and tail light treatments and new ten-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels. You can also order carbon fibre tail lamp inserts, side strakes, front splitter and rear diffuser; graphite, diamond-turned ten-spoke alloy wheels and alternative brake caliper colours. Inside the cabin ‘GT’ embroidery on the unique fluted leather, iridium trim pack and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel are among the main highlights.

Other technical highlights of the Aston Martin DB9 GT include independent double wishbone suspension and three-stage Adaptive Damping System (ADS) offers distinct  Normal, Sport and Track modes. The car also gets Aston’s new AMi II infotainment package with a host of connectivity features.
