Classic Porsche 911 models, from 1969 to 1975, are these days more desirable and more expensive than brand-new models. It took the public a long while, but finally people are realizing the genius of this design and its sheer sexiness. That has compelled Porsche Classic division to come up with new ways to cater to this ever-expending vintage 911 market.

So after launching a satellite navigation device for classic 911s in the shape of the original radio, Porsche Classic has now announced they have made a replica of the original dashboard with the same exact specification. This will make the restoration process a lot easier, as it eliminates the need for fiddling around with irreplaceable bits of wood, vinyl and trim.

The new 911 dashboard boasts a modern substructure and the original surface design. The fluted texture, tactile feel, gloss and shade of black are designed to be as close as possible to the original. What’s more, the quality of the material used in building the new dash will make it longer lasting than the original unit, which means it will probably outlive the car itself.

The new historic 911 dashboard by Porsche Classic can now be ordered for $1,353.
