Here’s something we suspect James May will like a lot. Jaguar and Oliver Sweeney have teamed up to launch a new series of Jaguar driving shoes inspired by the XJ. They come in various shades of brown.

Although the new Jaguar driving shoes are inspired by the modern Ian Callum-designed XJ, the series itself celebrates Jaguar’s golden era of design associated with the Coventry design HQ and iconic ‘50s and ‘60s Jaguar designer, Malcolm Sayer. There are two show styles called Whitley and Sayer. They will launch at the end of this month, priced at £325. For coupons on other great shoe brands click on nike promo codes.

Hand crafted in Italy by Oliver Sweeney, these Jag shoes borrow some styling cues from Jaguar XJ saloon, namely the curved sewn panel on the shoe which is similar to that of the distinctive D-pillar of the XJ, and the chisel toe profile resembles the Jaguar saloon grille. What’s more, there is special heel profile chamfered to create a pivot point for better pedal control, and a waist-less finish that ensures the shoes won’t catch on the pedals.

Jaguar’s Advanced Design Director, Julian Thomson, said: “This is a great relationship as both Jaguar and Oliver Sweeney have much in common: British craftsmanship, artistry and a love of the creative process.  Above all we’re all very proud of this latest collection that we’ve created together.”
