Spanish car maker SEAT took the wraps off a new version of their practical and affordable hot hatch, the SEAT Ibiza Cupra. Pitched as “the perfect hot hatch for everyday use,” the new Ibiza Cupra benefits from increased power and lowered fuel consumption.

Packing 192 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque from a 1.8 liter TSI engine, the 2016 SEAT Ibiza Cupra can accelerate from 0 to100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 235 km/h, while returning an average fuel consumption of just 6.0 litres. What’s more, the car comes with an XDS electronic differential lock, high-performance brakes, and CUPRA Drive Profile with adjustable damping.

But the Cupra is not all about the go. The car is also practical and user friendly, what with a roomy interior garnished with soft-touch material and a full host of connectivity features. Alongside MirrorLink, the SEAT Full Link connectivity solution incorporates the functions of Apple Car Play and Android Auto. That is in addition to SEAT DriveApp which offers a range of features such as weather forecast, text to speech, and a Challenger features which they say optimises driving skills.

As for the design, the three-door SEAT Ibiza Cupra has an expressive and instantly recognizable design with sharply executed lines and edges. It comes with LED daytimers and taillights, high-gloss black exterior mirrors, matt-black diffuser, trapezoidal tailpipe, and 17-inch wheels.
