McLaren Automotive announced the official pricing of their entry-level models, known as the McLaren Sports Series, including the 540C and the 570S. They are basically the same car, but the 540 is a cheaper, less powerful models designed mainly for the Asian market.

Boasting a 3.8 liter bi-turbo V8 that is tuned at, respectively, 540 and 570 horsepower, McLaren Sports Series are pitched as the best supercars for day to day use on the market today, rivaling the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo. The lightweight sports car features a carbon fiber chassis and body panels and undercuts the next lightest car in this class by a remarkable 150 kg, resulting in a class-leading power-to-weight figure of 434PS for the 570S.
