The latest addition to TopCar’s superb collection of iconic classics is a beautiful 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster. The car is basically a one-off on account of it being a special commission boasting a unique grey paint job and a white interior with carbon fiber trim.

The Diablo is considered to the last of properly brutal Lamborghinis as it belongs to the pre-Audi era. That said, Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster is a bit softer and tamer than the normal Diablos, as it features an all-wheel-drive system – hence the VT designation which stands for viscous traction. The system delivers up to 25 percent of the 530-hp V12 engine’s torque to the front wheels, giving the car better traction and the ability to hit 100 km/h front standing still in just 3.9 seconds.

But these days you don’y buy a car like this Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster to drive around in it. It’s a treasure. It’s an eye candy. And above all, it’s an investment. If we owned this car, we’d make a special place for it in the living room and just use as an ornament, something we can look at and enjoy all day long. Of course, being an Italian super car from the 90s, the VT would probably make a mess of the carpets spilling oil all over them!
