Okay, this is it. This is what Aston Martin should be building next as their new range-topping GT model. What you see here is called Aston Martin Lagonquish and it is the result of mating a Lagonda with a Vanquish!

This is, of course, a rendering and it’s just for fun. But it is one of those flights of fancy that actually look rather good and we would’t mind seeing it in production. What the designer, Jack Darton, has done here is take the front of the Lagonda and put it on the body of a Vanquish, thus arriving at something he calls Aston Martin Lagonquish.

We are not huge fans of the Lagonda sedan, but there is something about the car’s unique grille and headlights that just work really well when attached to a sleek coupe body. We are not saying Aston must come up with something like this, but when they are working on the replacement for the Vanquish they could draw some inspiration from it.

The designer has been pretty meticulous with this work and has even gone to the trouble of choosing the right wheels, a set of HRE RS105, for it.
