Would You Pay £696K for an Aston Martin Lagonda

Aston Martin Lagonda 600x350 at Would You Pay £696K for an Aston Martin Lagonda

The new Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf, as you may know, was first conceived as a limited edition super saloon for the Middle East market. Due to popular demand, however, Aston decided to also launch the car in Europe and America. And it’s going to cost an arm and a leg!

Aston has not yet officially announced the pricing of the Lagonda, but specialist dealer H.R. Owen listed one yesterday with a price tag of £696,000 GBP. They have removed the price tag since, so it could have been a mistake. But we won’t be at all surprised if that turns out to be the actual price of the 2015 Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf.

The market is ripe nowadays for overpriced, super deluxe cars, especially in places like the Middle East where the Lagonda was built for. So you can’t really blame Aston Martin for being ambitious with the price of the car. The thing is though, unlike the Middle East, most millionaires in Europe have actually worked for their money, and they are going to ask themselves is a re-bodied Rapide S really worth that kind of dosh?

If it was our money we wouldn’t buy the Taraf even if it was a 100 grand. It’s just a stupid thing, and fairly ugly too. But if you have the money and don’t care much about it, this car can be a unique addition to your collection. So by all means go ahead and order one.
