Following up on their promise with the VisionS concept, Czech automaker Skoda has now revealed the production version of their new SUV in form of Skoda Kodiaq. Previewed here in these official renderings, the Kodiaq not only has a cool name, it also looks pretty dope.

So the first thing you need to do if you like this thing is to get on your knees and pray to the deity of your choice that the finished product will look just as good. Skoda goes on a lengthy rhetoric about the chiseled lines and broad shoulders of the Kodiaq in their press release, but we won’t bore you with that. All you need to know is Skoda Kodiaq has one of the most athletic appearances among cars of this class, the biggest trunk in its segment, and optional third-row seating. They are also promising an interior as visually striking as the exterior, which is great.

“The Skoda Kodiaq is extremely versatile. It is exceptionally spacious and with compact external dimensions, it delivers the best overall package in its class. It is also robust, suits all types of terrain and offers the best flexibility and functionality. We wanted to visualise this in the exterior design as well as the interior. Form and functionality are therefore in harmony in the Kodiaq. The crystalline and striking appearance also underlines the strength and character of the Kodiaq.” — Jozef Kaba?, Skoda’s Head of Design.
