Aston Martin Vanquish S 0 600x351 at Official: Aston Martin Vanquish S

Before turning their attention fully to the new DB11 Aston Martin wants to unload what they have left of the Vanquish and its parts. And what better way to do so than launching a special edition? So please welcome the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish S, a mildly hotter version of a car you already love.

For the £199,950 (€262,950 in Germany and $294,950 in the US) that Aston asks they will give you a Vanquish that now makes 600 horsepower instead of 573 in the regular version, revised suspension, and a new aerodynamic package. Doesn’t sound like much, but as we know from previous experiences these little changes add up to make a huge difference in the finished product. So we expect Aston Martin Vanquish S to be perceptibly better than its non-S counterpart in terms of driving dynamics.

Visually, Aston Martin Vanquish S gets revised front splitter and rear diffuser with better aero properties and drag efficiency, and you can customize the looks to some extent with carbon fibre bonnet louvres, new forged 5-spoke diamond turned wheels and a choice of striking painted graphics packs. Inside the cabin the S treatment means you get new ‘Filograph’ quilted leather, Satin Chopped Carbon Fibre fascia panel, Bridge of Weir Caithness and special embroidery.

With re-tuned damper internals, spring rates and anti-roll bar as well re-calibrated 8-speed Touchtronic III transmission, the Vanquish S is now deserving of the title ‘Super GT’. The thing is, if you spend 200K GBP on this and you see a much cheaper DB11 next to you at a set of light you are going feel really terrible. Just saying, it’s not easy justifying this thing.
