Ford has come up with a new customer driving course program which has he coolest name given to any program ever. It’s called Raptor Assault, which sounds like a level in Call of Duty, and in it the owners of the 2017 Ford Raptor will learn the proper ways of off-roading in their super trucks.
Raptor Assault complements Ford Performance driving school program’s existing courses such as rack Attack and ST Octane Academy in that it provides a safe environment for the users of these cars to learn how to get the most out of their high-performance vehicles. We have to say though, this program doesn’t start all that exciting as you are required to spend some time in the classroom listening to the instructors bragging about how goof the Raptor is. But if you persevere soon you will be let loose in a purpose built off-road course in the deserts if Utah, and that’s where the fun begins.
Rock crawling, Baja runs, high-speed driving, side-hilling, descending and braking are some of the technics you will have mastered at the end of Raptor Assault. All of the courses thought in this program are tailor made for the new Raptor and its six driving modes, but what you learn here will definitely become handy in any off-road situation in any vehicle. That said, the goal of the program is to convince you the new Raptor is so good that you will never even entertain the idea of off-roading in any other truck.
“The all-new F-150 Raptor was designed to be the ultimate, no-compromise off-road pickup with its cutting edge internal bypass suspension, six-mode Terrain Management System™ and 450 horsepower EcoBoost engine with massive amounts of torque,” said Henry Ford III, Ford Performance marketing manager. “The off-road terrain near Ford Performance Racing School offers a diversity of challenges and is perfectly suited to showcase the high-performance capabilities of Raptor. The Ford Performance owner programs that have come before are a strong indication that this experience will be outstanding – a big hit with Raptor owners.”
