Geeks of Tesla Motors announced plans for updating the Tesla Roadster with more power, tweaked suspension and Yokohama high performance tyres. They say the Sport will get from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 second faster than the normal car. Normal Tesla runs on 6831 laptop batteries, so to achieve better performance they’ve probably added another 1000 units! Silicon Valley companies are famous for their Internet entrepreneurship and web start-ups, but looks like they are seriously getting into car car business as well. Tesla says already there are more than 1100 people on the waiting list for the Roadster Sport, despite its heavy price of $112,500. I would buy a Mercedes SL63 AMG instead!!!
