Word is on the street that Audi is preparing a very hot hatch back to enter a market dominated by Ford Focus RS, Golf GTI and Mazda MPS. Other word is that they are gonna put the TT-RS engine in it! Damn!

Possibly called the RS3, this little S-series breed hatchback will get 340 hp from RS 2.5 liter 5 cylinder turbo engine, which turns the car into a pocket rocket. 0-60 under 5 seconds and predicted Nürburgring lap of just over 8 minutes, which is what Camaro SS with a V8 has managed for crying out loud!

Fortunately, Audi’s development boss Michael Dick has confirmed it to some extent during an interview, so if RS3 is really coming, other hot hatches cannot just sit back and watch! They have to react and the best way to do that is to come up with more power! FANTASTIC! I can imagine a Focus RS with 500 hp! 🙂
