Al Tayer Motors, sole importer of Land Rover cars to United Arabic Emirates has topped the firm’s annual sales worldwide for the third consecutive year and it’s not a surprise because UAE has the greatest number of Range Rovers than any other country!
Al Tayer Motors recorded the highest sales in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region with a 22 per cent increase in 2008 over 2007, a statement said.
Range Rover Sport saw an increase of 23 per cent. All other models Range Rover, Land Rover LR3 and Land Rover LR2 reported “healthy” sales, it said.
“We are proud to have achieved this result for the third year in a row. The success can be attributed to Land Rover’s strong product portfolio which continues to appeal to the discerning Middle East customer, and Al Tayer Motors’ strong emphasis on providing excellent after-sales services,” Ashok Khanna, Chief Executive of Al Tayer Motors, said in the statement.
Robin Colgan, Managing Director, Jaguar and Land Rover Middle East and North Africa, said: “We are proud that our local partner has done Land Rover Mena proud on the global stage. It is an asset to have a very successful and capable partner like Al Tayer Motors by our side to tackle the challenges that 2009 brings.”
