We were looking forward to this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show with so much excitement because the new Ferrari F450, the F430’s replacement, was supposed to debut there. But now reports coming out of Maranello suggest that the car’s unveiling is pushed back until December, in Los Angeles Autoshow.
According to the report, Pininfarina’s styling has caused some trouble to the car’s aerodynamics, so they have to re-tune it to arrive at a perfect compromise. So Ferrari’s president ordered the delay to make sure that the finished product is 100 percent flawless.
Also in their quest to go green, Ferrari will bring a hybrid-powered concept version of the F450 to L.A along with the normal V8 car. But this green Ferrari is not supposed to go into production anytime soon. It’s part of Ferrari’s extensive research for greener models which are due in 2014. They say the market is not ready to embrace an eco-friendly Ferrari yet. The new Ferrari F450 Spider is also in the works, but they are not going to release it with the coupe version because it would do more harm than good and mess up California’s sales. It might appear in about 18 months after the coupe’s launch.
