Toyota RAV4 is a very important car. It is hugely popular specially in far and middle east and is a key product for the Japanese car maker. The current model which is the third generation of the car is getting old and Toyota is planing a complete makeover for it. We’ve already had some rendered speculations about how the new RAV4 would look, and here’s another one!
And as you can see, it is heavily inspired by the new Lexus RX which is a shame! You see RAV4 has always been a handsome SUV, not very posh and classy, but quite cool and trendy. This shape however, like the Lexus is pretty ugly! We hope the production version won’t disappoint in terms of design.
Of course to be on trend, the new car will get fashionable features like LED lights and start/stop system, and as for the engines, an optimized range of current engines will be available for the RAV4, like the famous 2.2 liter diesel, and four and six cylinder petrol units. The new Toyota RAV4 will come in 2010.

a piece of junk. hate it when everything now a day have to look like round like nissan, mazda, etc.. I know one day people will get tire of the roundness design and want to see something different. I will take the current design any day over this piece of junk.
WOW,what a car.It’s still pretty and nice.The best Toyota RAV4 ever.
I just purchased the 2010 Toyota Rav4 Sport V6 4WD. It’s a fantastic vehicle. The ride is very comfortable. It handles very well, has alot of power, good gas mileage, & extremely easy to park. It’s already very much the Lexus at a reduced price. Toyota has done it again. All vehicles should be like this. The best of all worlds!
much better design
This Rav4 looks amazing! I hope the next gen is car based so the Rav4 can finally have average handling. The current gen is not fun to drive at all (except for the speed of the V6).
Best looking Rav 4!! Hope it becomes a production model
When will this be out? I will wait for this and trade in my 2002 Lexus RX 300.
I have been waiting a long time for a “baby Lexus”.
Hope they do away with the swing out tailgate that was designed for right hand drive markets. We need the tailgate to open the opposite way for the American (left hand drive cars) market.
Looks like a Mazda. Disappointing. Looks “weaker” than the ’09.
if this is the next rav, i will be shoping elsewhere
