After its horrific accident in Hungarian Grand Prix earlier this year, Felipe Massa spent a long time away from any sort of motorsport recovering from that injury. But he is now back in shape, and although Ferrari has ruled out his 2009 comeback, he is training on the simulators and old F1 cars to keep his skills sharp in order to remain competent for the next season as he will be racing with a new teammate, Fernando Alonso.
