Mercedes GP today officially confirmed signing Nico Rosberg as their first driver for 2010 Formual1 season. The 24-year-old living-in-Monaco son of former champion Keke Rosberg, is Mercedes’ first German driver since Karl Kling and Hans Herrmann in 1955. ‘After four years in Formula One, I would count Nico Rosberg as an experienced driver ‘ Mercedes’ team manager Ross Brawn told German newspaper Bild.
Now with Nico being the first driver, it literally means that Michael Schumacher or Kimi Raikkonen are not joining the team, and that makes the other German driver Nick Heidfeld the most probable option to fill up the empty seat. Although Ross Brawn has said that he is not in rush to complete the lineup.
