Shelby has prepared a new tuning package for 2007-2008 Shelby GTs and 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GTs, and although it’s a rather complete program, they like to emphasize on the new turbocharger unit they’ve put in it which gives 550 hp. This package is also named GT550 Turbo. It is developed in collaboration with California based Turbonetics and costs $22,599, but boosts the pony’s performance significantly.
Further technical enhancements include: Short throw shifter, Shelby Pro-Plus 4 wheel brake system, Performance suspension with Caster/Camber Plates, Baer 6-Piston Extreme front and rear brake kit, Performance clutch, Eibach Pro-2 Coil-Over Shocks and Struts, Eibach Pro Sway Bar Kit and Eibach Pro Alignment Kit and Borla dual exhaust.
The car’s presence is also enhanced via Shelby GT-H Front Fascia and Shelby Rear Fascia, and Shelby Bar Grille and stripes and of course Specific 18” X 9” Chrome Aluminum Wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 275/35/18 tires. As for the interior, the tuner offers Shelby Gauge Pod and Shelby Signature Gauges, Serialized dash and engine bay plaque, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity Shelby Functional, and Shelby Turbocharged Floor Mats as well as an 8-point roll cage.
